Motivation & Goal
|
|
The Open Research Platform is to enable efficient scholarly communication across a wide range of scientific environments to support functions such as: Idea Identification, Research Modeling, Collaboration, Authoring & Publishing, Discovery & Access, Evaluation and so on.
We are aiming to:
- To define the key elements, identify component techniques, methodologies or operations, and make relationships between them.
- To Integrate and mash up critical technologies enabling ORP across a wide range of scientific research environments.
- To fashion systems that are readily usable by scientists and researchers.

Requirements
|
|
Platform must
- Be based on collective intelligence concept.
- Have a high utility for the research.
- It must ultimately aid idea capturing & conceptualization, hypothesis building, data collecting, collaboration, and networking, publication, etc.
- Be a richly connected network of data to enable a variety of studies.
- It must enable researchers to identify, relate and compare methodologies, discoveries, and research outcomes.
- provide arena to resolve controversial arguments according to the supported evidence.
- Be easy to use. For the sake of pervasive use, it must be simple to enter, search, and access to data stored in knowledge base.
- Be accumulative
- Researchers can put their research results according to the predefined categories into the open platform. The collected data is grouped to form knowledge base.
- be Searchable
- Platform allows a researcher simply find out the particular case. Users can search for studies by subject, treatment, hypothesis (cause and effect assumption), methodologies (observation, experiment, test, interview, etc.), measures, or findings.
